A Birthday Blog

So today I turned 25, and to some that may seem scary but I have decided to be an optimist and think how exciting it is, at 25 you have just enough life experience to be taken seriously yet the alluring naivety of a young adult, old enough to know better but still young enough to get away with making silly mistakes. I was pondering this as I sat with one of my best friends sipping Peach and Mint Ice Tea and scoffing Eggs Benedict in Bills at Hammersmith wearing my new bejewelled necklace a friend brought me for my birthday.

On my way to college I decided to stop off at Pam's which is a makeup store in Shepard's Bush, my tutor recommend it as it does Makeup Forever and lots of handy bits for shoots - the shop is so cute it looks just like a little barbie house. I purchased the Makeup Forever HD foundation in shade 127 and A lovely coral lipstick in shade 39.

Today we brushed up on the "smokey eye' which is something I don't often try out as I prefer a bold lip and I find both together can look a bit much.
I really enjoyed learning all the tricks of the trade, and trying it out after all practice does make perfect :)
It was also rather handy that my friend tried out the grey smokey eye on me as it matched todays outfit of choice.

Im loving maxi cardigans at the moment I brought two from Newlook recently when I was in Brighton, they are so easy to chuck on and add a great casual layering effect to any outfit.

Now for the best part of my birthday - my lovely boyfriend came up to take me out for dinner and drinks, he chose CIRCUS which is a Japanese style restaurant in Covent Garden which has live entertainment such as gymnasts and ariel performers.
It was amazing and was so delicious, and of course this gave me the perfect opportunity to try out my new make up I brought today and also wear a dress I have been dying to wear for ages!

The Makeup Forever foundation made my skin feel and look amazing and the lipstick was perfect to compliment stronger eyes, as it was a subtle orange rather then too bold.

I chose to wear a simple Zara dress with gold accessories to add a touch of birthday glamour.

All in all I have had the most perfect day and if 25 stays this way it really isn't bad at all, in fact I'm loving it and I'm looking forward to more London adventures, lipsticks and outfits.

I'll keep you posted :)
