Learning what I L.O.V.E

I woke up in a rather good mood today, the sun was shining and I was about to spend the day learning what I love.
It was a bit of a triumph as I managed to wear some of my favourite summer sandals and walk 2 miles with out a slight rub or pain. Anyone that owns Zara shoes will know what I mean, beauty is pain ay!

The first thing I do when I arrive at class is set up my makeup desk, I find if I try to stay clean and organised throughout a makeover its helps me feel more creative, and i can actually find things, which always helps.

Today we had to create looks from the 1920's - which is a rather boyish look with a messy smokey eye, a harsh dark lip and straight eyebrows - this was in fashion as all the starlets who were on TV in black and white used it to emphasise their features, they would just darken them as much as they could - strange I know.
Here I created a more subtle look but you can still see the strength in the look.

We then moved onto the 1940's, i really love this look, its so glamorous and a lot more wearable for myself, who likes a little more subtle make up look.
This look consists of a soft but defined arched brow, smokey fluttery eyes, a full luscious deep red lip and a pop of pink on the cheeks - how delightful.

While I was waiting for others to finished I spotted the MAC AW2013 book and had a flick through for some idea's for my final portfolio shots and I found some amazing looks I thought I'd share.

They are all so different but all so eye catching, I couldn't choose a favourite, however it has given me some great inspiration, but I'm afraid you'll have to wait for my final shots. It's all very exciting.

I'll keep you posted :)
