Sorry I've been a little MIA this week, a very close friend of mine received some horrible news, I haven't felt up to blogging much, it's awful knowing someone you love is going through a really hard time and not being able to make it better.
I did manage to take some snaps of the best bits through out the week.
Wednesday I had girls night at my best friends house, we decided to make it a feast with cakes while we watched the GBBO final. I had made white chocolate and strawberry cupcakes using a Marry Berry recipe of course.
They were so delicious if I do say so myself!
I had decided to wear my khaki shirt dress and gillet with my leopard ankle boots. As the weather gets darker and gloomier it's made me opt for darker colours and darker make up. However I thought this was the perfect outfit to wack out MAC's Morange for the perfect pop of orange on my lips.
I have had a few request recently on what products I use to create my make up looks so here are the product details for this one...
BB cream - Esteè Lauder - Shade 4
Illamasqua Highlighter - Gleam
Mac Eyeshow Pallet - Charcoal and vanilla
Mac Blush - Peachy Keen
Mascara - YSL shocking
Eyeliner MAC - Feline
Brow Gel - MAC
Lipstick MAC - Morange
(Sorry about the quality of the pictures, in the rain, in the dark and with the flash!)
Gillet - Topshop
Dress - Primark
Belt - Hermes
Boots - Newlook
I had such a lovely eve with the girls we had to pause the bake off at least 3 times to have a proper catch up, and who doesn't love cake!
On Thursday I had the best delivery through the post, not one not two but three of my best mascaras ever. I discovered this macars about 6 years ago when I went to new york and was in a chemist buying tablets to make my cold disappear. I think since then I order one once a year and it always lasts me ages. I came across them again the other day and thought I just have to order some more, when you love something like I love this Covergirl Mascara never ever let it go!
Covergirl Lash Blast Volume Mascara in Ultra Black - Waterproof (I get leaky eyes)
I obviously couldn't wait to give it another go and I wasn't disappointed!
No now for the exciting news... Im currently laying on my bed staring at the outfit hanging up on my closest door, making sure I have made the right choice. My tan, nails and hair are drying and I feel like I'm ready for my first ever fashion bloggers event. Yes I'm off up to Birmingham first thing in the morning to attend a bloggers meeting, fashion show and aw14 collection launch of www.mybandagedress.com. They hunted me out on Instagram and emailed me to invite me to their event. So exciting.
While I'm talking about Instagram... I just want to thank everyone for following me as I have now hit 1000 followers, trust me when I started blogging back in April I could never of imagined this. I hope there is a lot more exciting things to come and for me to share with you all. I'm starting to see my hobby become a job, and I couldn't be anymore appriciative.
So you can look forward to an exciting post all about the event very soon, I can't wait to share it with you!
I'll keep you posted :)
