I went shopping on Sunday to Brighton and picked a few things out in Zara to buy, this knitted over sized navy jumper being one of them, I thought it was perfect for a cute cosy look complimented with ripped skinnies and simple nude accessories. The event was in the early evening so I didn't want to dress up too much so I thought this outfit was perfect, and of course I had to venture around the city so I wanted to be comfortable but still chic.
Jumper - Zara
Jeans - Topshop
Necklace - Oliver Bonus
Bag - Chanel
Shoes - Matalan (yes really)
Now I have worn this jumper once I can't wait to style it with loads of different looks, I can see it being my staple cosy knit this winter, I'm thinking tights and knee highs next.
I kept my make up very minimal and went for a slicked back hair look, I really loving natural tones and hues this season, as long as you keep your brows and other features strong.
If you scared to use a eyebrow pencil or powder a clear brow gel is great fort getting that groomed structured effect without the harsh look. The same with lip liner's, if you don't want a harsh bright lip go for a natural lip liner to really help define your lip line whilst looking natural. My favourites at the moment are MAC's Brow set gel and Boldly Bare Lip liner but I know Sleek and Rimmel do really good dupes. Go, go, go!
As soon as we arrived at Charring Cross we headed to very pretty and Christmasy Covent Garden, I love this time of year it's when London is at it's best.
We only had one thing on our minds... Shake Shack. Yep, Burgers, the best Burgers around in my opinion, I know when I'm eating them they are going straight to my thigh's and butt but it will never stop me. Just look at them.
We had a wonder around the shops, and I managed to get my friend to try out and buy a orange lipstick, so out of her comfort zone but even she had to admit when she had it on it looked amazing on her! Mission Accomplished.
As soon as we got wind there were Christmas Markets around we spent no time in making our to them promptly in a black cab, we were soon surrounded by pretty lights and the smell of mulled wine.
Fudge... another thing I can't pass with out trying!
Mmmmm.
Then of course it started raining spoiling all of our fun, this is England of course. If you don't expect a little rain this time of year your deluded. Me being me, not very practical at all I didn't bring a umbrella so we were momentarily caught in the rain, with your hair and makeup getting ruined for the event that evening. Thank god for cabs, we were rescued and found shelter in a Pret with a hot drink and a make up mirror to sort ourselves out.
It was soon time to head to the Event, I was so excited it was being held in a really quirky bar/club in Shoe Lane called Kanaloa. The venue was so Hawaiian I was in my element. I will apologise now for the bad lighting inside the venue everything was lit up with red lighting.
We were greeted with goodie bags and cocktails.
These cocktails were delicious, the glasses were so cool.
I spend the evening networking, and talking to brands about reviewing their products, Bloggers Love Hub had done an amazing job, everything was set out perfectly and the brands that were there were lovely. I'm very lucky to be invited to these events.
Just look at the detail on those Heels.
After a few hours of talking fashion, make up and all things hair and beauty we then headed back to catch the train home with lots of goodie bags.
It wasn't until this morning when I unpacked them, that I realised all the amazing items I was gifted. I can't wait to review them all for you guys.
I may need that slender tone after that Burger!
Obviously I'm a lipstick lover and I didn't waste much time in trying out the new Lipsticks I received from ColourChaseCosmetics, I love the idea of all the bright vibrant colours you can mix into ombre's. Here are two that I mixed and LOVED.
So as Mondays go it's was a pretty good one!
I'm sure I'll have lots more exciting event's to share with you in the future.
I'll keep you posted :)
