I didn't walk to college today as I stayed in Camden last night at a friend's but my day started pretty sweet! As I was wondering through King's Cross St Pancras a lady from Lola's Cupcakes pop up stall stopped me and said "you're wearing pink... you can have a free cupcake".
At that moment in time I was a little confused but grabbed the cupcake, smiled and said thank you. I gave a silent nod to Primark for making me buy the gorgeous nude/pink pleather jacket I had purchased the day before - well it was raining and I was without a jacket! It was a bargain and is just like the Zara one I've had my eye on. Breakfast sorted.
Jacket - Primark
Dress - H&M
Shoes - Zara
Lipstick - Mac Candy Yum-Yum
Anyway, after the amazing strawberries and cream cupcake and feeling sick for at least 10 mins, I then got down to business. It was catwalk time at college and I had Catwalk RTW looks to try out. Everyday there is a new challenge. My life certainly isn't boring at the moment, that's for sure!
I absolutely loved this style of make up, it's very dramatic but sexy at the same time. Obviously it's not something you would wear down to the shops, but instead down the catwalk walking for Vivienne Westwood. The golden orange is a great change to the dark smokey eye and the wine stained lips are an amazing catwalk look in my opinion.
We have been learning how to block out eyebrows this week, it's very in at the moment, god knows why. You can do this by using a pritt-stick, YES a pritt-stick like the ones from school and carefully gluing down every hair to the skin and using a full coverage foundation over the top to disguise the glue. It's very clever but its not something I'm rushing to do everyday. I do appreciate that it's a cool effect for catwalk... so here is the look of the blocked eyebrow. I haven't used pritt-stick in the picture, but heavy concealer as for this look that was what was asked for.
I bet you are rushing to do your brows like that now aren't you?
I really enjoyed getting to grips with Catwalk. It's a lot more pressure then a photo shoot as it has to be ready in time for the model to walk and once they are out there there are no touch ups.
I think tomorrow we are going even more outrageous with Couture... How intriguing, i can't wait.
I'll keep you posted :)
