Obviously I woke up excited today, it was the day of my second portfolio shoot. I am so excited for this look, I've been planning it for ages.
I took the long but pretty walk to college as I do everyday.
I chose to wear a khaki crop, beige skirt and my favourite snake skin kimono. these are probably my go to colours. If you take a peek into my wardrobe you would see a lot of nudes, camels and khakis. They are very neutral and earthy and I just adore them, sometimes I try to change it up but I normally always end up reverting back to those safe whites, beige's and creams I love so much.
However recently I have been getting into a bit of monochrome, which I'm pleased about. It's nice to have a variety, everyday I wake up feeling a different look. Yesterday it was office chic with a leather skirt, blouse and plaited hair, but to today it's a topknot, laid back beach style.
I even have a pineapple hanging around my neck... pass me a Pína Colada!

It's from H&M, it's pretty cute.
So I arrived in the make up studio ready to start the day, and in walked the most gorgeous girl I'm sure I have eve seen. Jackpot. Yes, she was my model.
I had already planned to create a wet look, bronze goddess just got out of the water look, and she was perfect for it. She had olive skin, light green eyes, and cheek bones to die for.
She was captivating, she kind of knew it though. Every 10 seconds she would be taking a selfie and I had to keep reminding her to close her eyes or keep still which was making us both laugh. Obviously in the nicest way possible, she was the sweetest girl, and had such a passion for her job that it made it so easy working with her.
We had a lot of fun.
After I had finished perfecting her already perfect face we moved onto hair. I asked the stylist to wet her hair down but apply volume to the roots. For that just got out of the pool look.
The finished look was amazing. This is a photo I took of my model before we went into the studio to shoot, so I haven't seen the final images yet, and I won't until tomorrow.
I love being in the studio and directing, and making sure every hair and eyelash is in place.
The two shoots I have worked on for my portfolio this week have made me even more passionate and certain that I want to follow my dreams and a career into this industry. I find it so exciting and interesting and I love being able to express myself by being so creative.
She knew how to work it.
After I had finished and the model had left, I knew exactly what I wanted to do. I headed home grabbed some magazines and dinner and looked forward to a nice pamper evening.
I always do the same face mask every week, just once a week because 1. I don't have the time and 2. I don't want to over indulge my skin for it to become too oily. My favourite at the moment is Ultrabland by LUSH. I get a blob of it and massage it into my face and leave it for half an hour or so. It feel like heaven.
I actually left it on for along as it took me to watch 'The Great British Bake Off' - I love that show so much.
When I need to take it off I spray some of the LUSH toner water onto a cotton pad and rub it off keep doing so until its all off .
It's simple but effective and I normally wake up with lovely glowing skin the next day. Fingers crossed!
It's been nice not doing anything tonight and winding down after a exciting week, sometime I like to just chill out and read or pamper. It feels like it does me the world of good.
So tonight I'm going to get my comfy clothes on and get in bed with Cara.
I love flicking through vogue for makeup and outfit inspiration. Even if I adapt it to suit my own style.
Tomorrow's lesson's bring body painting... now that's intriguing!
I'll keep you posted :)
