Oh my GOLD

My wish came true, it was very sunny this morning allowing me to enjoy the walk to my course without getting my feet wet by clumsily walking through a puddle. I was excited to use my new make up brush that my mum got me for my birthday knowing that I'm obsessed with the Real Techniques Vegan brushes and the huge powder brush was the one piece missing from my large colourful collection.
I can confirm it lived up to expectations with it's extra soft feel and high quality finish, I'd recommend them to anyone.

I painted my nails as I do every week a new shade and this week the shade of choice was Charnelle by Christian Dior, my lovely friend bought it as a present for my birthday and I've been itching to try it out and I adore it. As my nails looked so nice I decided to go all out on the gold accessories, I love days like this. Less detail on the outfit and more about the gold jewellery. I find fine gold jewellery so pretty and dainty, and is always my go to answer for a boring outfit, or to add a touch of glamour.

Rings - Mainly H&M

Anyway lets get back to the makeup... today was all about the 2000's, we skipped the 90's as they are very similar to the 80's vibe just a little less out there.
Now for someone that tries to avoid the smokey eye at all costs, I have been doing a lot lately and today was no exception.
The 2000's was all about the over plucked brow and the seriously stand out smokey eye, think Jordan and you will have the right idea!

It isn't one of my favourite looks but this afternoon we were told to alter the style to a more glamorous subtle red carpet look... now this is right up my street. I decided to warm up the whole face by using bronzer, golden shadows and highlighters.

This look only took me 10 minutes and it such a fresh and feminine look for an event, I certainly will be wearing it next time I'm out. I love to mix up different lip colour until I have found the perfect shade for the perfect skin tone, outfit or event. Luckily I had plenty to choose from!!

Talking of red carpet looks, today we had a talk about what to expect when doing celebrities make up and grooming, it makes me so excited to think that after I'm trained up and experienced I could be prepping someone for their red carpet appearance,  I bet you get a lot of divas and obviously some lovely ones too, but like I said before I'm ready for the challenge and find it all so interesting, if I can do what I love for a living it will all be worth it.

I'll keep you posted :)
