It's been a very busy one, but a really beautiful one too. Friday morning I headed over to the wedding venue to help my friend set up for her wedding the next day. As we unpacked everything I fell in love with all the amazing decor she has made and collected, to surround everyone for her big day. I puffed pom-poms, filled sweet jars and wrote chalkboard signs. I could tell it was going to look great!
I've been really in to neon recently, as you will soon see with my wedding attire, and I grabbed this neon pink shirt and tucked it into one of my favourite staple skirts. I added a statement necklace and was then ready for the day.
Shirt - Very
Skirt - ASOS
Necklace - Boutique in Venice
After all the venue preparation, I headed home to begin the wedding preparation on myself. Tan, Nails, Hair planing the lot. I knew I had at least 5 faces to prepare from 8 o'clock the next morning and I needed to be prepared and organised. So I sorted out of my make up kit and packed it all in ready for the next morning.
My friend popped round for a cup of tea and a chatter, we were getting so excited for the wedding. On Thursday I had made some homemade mango and peach ice pops so we tucked into them. They were delicious.
I finally managed to get to sleep at 1am after saying to myself I would get an early night all day. I just had so much to do in so little time.
Up I jumped out of bed after realising my alarm didn't go off, yes I was running half an hour late. Oh dear. Off I went to my sisters the queen of all hair ups, to get my hair sorted. As my dress had a lot of drama at the back I went for a simple up do.
I also chose gold accessories to compliment my dress and add a touch of golden glamour.
Bag - Chanel
Shoes - Riverisland
Earrings - ASOS
After my hair was sorted we headed to Ticehurst where the wedding was taking place, after a little trouble trying to find the hotel, we got there and I cracked on and started on the make up. I love making people feel good about themselves and the girls are all so gorgeous it was pretty easy. Here is a picture I took of some of the beautiful bridesmaids.
After all the hard work was done I was left with little time to sort myself out, luckily the mother of the bride managed to iron my dress for me otherwise It could of been been a disaster!
I chose a really pretty gold smokey eye, with glossy lips and a dewy complexion. A favourite for me and it never fails to let me down. When you get older and more experience you get to realise what looks suit yourself and enhance your features rather then cake yourself in makeup and hope for the best.
I also added some temporary tattoos to my look,I picked these up at Portobello market last month and have been waiting patiently for the right occasion to wear them. This was that day.
The dress is probably one of my favourite pieces ever, the colour and the back detail are so me I don't think I could of designed one better myself. Other than a built in bra, because lets face it going bra less in chiffon cries out for everyone to look at your nips, and my choice of the classic stick on bra definitely wasn't my most dignified of moments. As soon as I got in I whipped it straight off and I'm sure I can still feel the sticky glue on my boobs now. Gross.
Dress - ASOS
Now I could go into so many details about how beautiful and perfect the wedding was. Instead I shall let the photos do the talking. It was so personalised and thought out, It really was magical.
I told you it was beautifully done.
I woke up this morning a little worse for wear, we had planned to head out for breakfast early but there was no chance of that happening. Instead I was treated to breakfast in bed. Pretty sweet. It was delicious and the ketchup love heart made it even tastier. The presentation skills need a little work but the thought is definitely there.
After sorting myself out and feeling ready to face the world a group of friends and I headed to the Food and Fish festival on the beach where I live. It was such a gorgeous day, summer had arrived all over again.
With that in mind I decided to wear a really light summer dress and a sun hat, I really do get carried away. As soon as it gets colder outside the fur come's out and a peep of sunshine I'm wearing a bikini and kimono.
Dress - H&M
Hat - Topshop
Shoes - Office
The beach where I live really is beautiful I try my hardest not to take it for granted.
I shall tell you what else is beautiful the new Ice-Lolly's I have been addicted to. They are made out of Pineapple juice and coconut water, and If you love sweet stuff like I do they are perfect.
I think I got my friend addcited too!
The Festival was really busy and had a good atmosphere, there was loads of different food and gift stalls.
Now I don't like fish, I wish I did but I don't. What I do like however is cake... especially when I'm hungover. So this stall was perfect. I ended up buying 4. They weren't all for me I swear.
I chose:
A Cinnamon Swirl iced bun
A white chocolate cheese cake
A Carmel crumble cheese cake
And Iced Cinnamon yum-yum
I have spent this evening napping and reminiscing on yesterdays lovely day.
I'm looking forward to a new week, new outfits, adventures and of course make up.
I'll keep you posted :)
