Yes, I was so happy to be back in London, and for a day of sight seeing, dining and wandering. Perfect. We were heading to Covent Garden for a nice breakfast and look around. Then after on the London Eye and Thames river cruise, so I knew I had to wear something comfortable. Although we were dining at the Savoy later on in the day which meant heels and a cute dress were a must.
I am really into colour popping at the moment, if you hadn't already of realised. Yellow happens to be my favourite colour, so when I saw this cute casual shoulder bag staring at me from the top shelve in Zara I knew I just had to have it, I was already envisioning the Khaki, camels and navy's it would look amazing styled with.
Everything - Zara
Belt - Hermes
We decide on Tutton's to eat breakfast, I was quick to scan the menu for my all time fav - eggs Benedict. They had it of course, most places in London do. They were delicious, as per usual.
As we were wandering around the boutiques in Covent Garden square I noticed this lovely flower arrangement with the quote on it, It made me smile and I hope it does you too.
I just couldn't resist stopping by my favourite chocolate shop Godiva and getting some chocolate cover strawberries, they are really pricey but so delicious, I think you get 8 for £10... I gave 7 away, I was feeling generous.
Then it was time to start the sight seeing, we started with the London eye, stopped for a cider then went on the Thames river cruise. I enjoyed it a lot more then I thought I would, on the cruise we went past so many lovely restaurants I now dying to visit.
We were slightly early for our reservation at the Savoy, so we stopped in on this really cute tiny pub just off the strand, I love a proper old pub, you can't beat them. How pretty have the made it too with all those beautiful flowers, it really was eye catching.
Once in the Savoy, it didn't take long until I had a cocktail in my hand I chose the Moonwalk, which was orange, peach and a whole lot of alcohol. Far too much for a family civilised event. My boyfriends family to make it worse, so I stopped it there.
Before we ordered our food I popped to the toilet, I had been to the Savoy before and I remembered how beautiful and grand everything was inside. The bathroom is so pretty, everything is finished off perfectly.
I even had time for a mirror outfit shot... why not.
We sat down to eat, now I really tried to take good pictures of my food to show you just how delicious it is, but without putting my flash on and showing myself up in the restaurant I couldn't get good enough light, so you'll have to take my word for it. I had for starter I had Soup of the day (pancetta, creme fresh and onion) Main I had to have a steak with all the trimmings and for desert I had the lightest most creamiest Creme brulee I ever did taste. All in all a very pleasant experience.
London wore me out, but not enough to stop me going back tomorrow. I have my first Beauty Bloggers event in Chelsea that I have been invited to. I don't know exactly what to expect but I know I get a free blow dry, goodie bag and can get networking! Another burst of excitement....
I'll keep you posted :)
