Just Jessica's top 3 contour brushes (plus a little summer catch up)

Welcome back! Let's just say I've been having a little blog vacation, I almost forgot how much I missed it. I have had a lovely summer, It was my birthday at the start of august and I was spoilt rotten, turning 26 isn't really that bad after all! I then jetted off to Canada for just under a month, I stayed with a friend I met whilst travelling in 2013 and have kept in contact with ever since, we had so much fun!

Canada was something else, breathtaking could even be an understatement!

Something to tick of the bucket list... trust me my bucket list is very long!

Whilst in Canada I picked up some great make up products, I have fallen in love with the brand MILANI, their baked blushes and shadows are amazing! :)

Whilst applying my make up last night I had already given my face a lovely base when I went to grab for my go to powder contour kit (Kiko, my favourite cream contour is Tom Ford) and thought ohhhh which brush shall I use? I'm lucky enough to have collected some great contour brushes in my make up bag this year - More then I need I'm sure but I always end up using the same three, they are just faultless in their own ways!

They range from £10 - £43, and are all of great quality and can be used in different ways and products.

Real Techniques Sculpting Brush - £9.99

Let's start off with the cheapest of the bunch,  brought this about 6 months ago and I haven't looked back since, it comes everywhere with me, the brush is nice a dense so it applies contour powder or cream very precisely whilst being great to use to blend. I find it the perfect shape to fit in the hollow of my cheekbones. Great price and great brush!

MAC's Short Duo Fibre Brush 130 - £33

This brush is the best for cream contouring, it doesn't push your makeup around your face if used in small circular motions or dabbed on gently it builds and blends beautifully. It's very soft and I find the  small brush head great for defination. You can also use it for powders but the application will be very light so you will have to use a lot more product. A little expensive but if you love a cream contour this brush is for you!

NARS ITA Kabuki Brush - £43

Ok, ok... I know the price is ridiculous. But if your a massive make up lover or an artist you will appreciate this. NARS never fails to disappoint, ever. NARS is one of my favourite brands and if I'm honest this is probably the best contour brush I've ever used. The really thin flat shape give me the perfect defined line that it a great marker to then blend out, this is also an amazing highlight applicator... so the price isn't so bad if its's two in one right?
If you fancy splashing out I'd recommend this little beauty!

Hope this has been handy for you guys, I always love to know what people are loving an what works for them! After all contouring is massive at the moment!

Here are a some pictures of my summer, just incase your interested... in no particular order :)

Yes... I ate and drank wayyyyyy to much, but I enjoyed every minute of it!

I have been planning something exciting in the last view days...

I'll keep you posted :)
