10 Ways to Style your Leather Jacket this Autumn

YES!! It's finally Jacket and Coat season. Don't get me wrong I'm very sad to be kissing goodbye to the Summer sun but my god I'm getting excited for all the rich and cosy autumn/winter styles!

I went into Zara the other day in London and fell in love with all the leather and fur and well EVERYTHING. I'm not exaggerating, if there was one high street store I had to dress from all my life it would of been that one! I feel a online order happening soon. Eeekk.

So while I have been lusting over emeralds, burgundies and camel colour shades, I came across an amazing bargain in Primark the other day. A Burgundy Leather or Pleather should I say for £25.00. I know what your thinking, it must look cheap or be bad quality but I can assure you it's not. It's a really thick material and is so warm, I brought it in a size 10 and it fits perfectly so they come up true to size for any of you wondering!

Here are a few of my fav leathers I've collected over the years, I love each one for lots of different reasons!

So the Primark stunner was a nice addition to my collection.

My top 10 Autumn lip picks

Well isn't this a little something new, it's something I have been thinking of doing for awhile because the most asked question on my Blog is normally 'where and what lip colour is that?' and I do get that, there is nothing more frustrating then LOVING a colour and not being able to find it.

So I have had a dig around my draws of many lipsticks and a picked out 10 that I always seem to be using this season. However I'm not promising that these are the only ones I'm going to use, they are just my favourite shades and textures at the mo. I'm a girl that loves a change, to mix things up a bit and to experiment. So for now these are what I have been using and loving these last few months and I shall continue until... I can find 10 lipsticks I love as much!

So here are my top 10, the prices all vary some are as cheap as £6.99 while other are a little bit mental at £37 but totally worth it.

Oh look I have even made a little hand swatch for you guys, so you can see extra clear, I'm good to you! As you can see I've kind of backed away from the matte lip vibe, not forever but just while gloss, gloss and even more gloss are in this season.

As you can see I'm enjoying lots of variation, which is key to a good make up bag/draw/trolley.

It's nice to have options and be brave with a bold lip or soft with a subtle lip.

Before we get started, here is a handy hint for getting luscious lips, EXFOLIATE. Who likes bits of flaky skin covered in lipstick? Plus you will find the application so much smoother, easier and lipsticks will stay on for longer! Bonus.

So I normally use LUSH's bubblegum lip exfoliate, which works magic on my lips and smells and tastes amazing! Not that I purposely eat it, being that I'm rubbing it onto my lips I can help it!

However in my last Glossy box I received this Ètre Belle Liplift peel so I decided to try this out, it doesn't sound as cute as the LUSH one, or taste as good. But it does work just as well.

I then use EOS products on my lips just to give it some moisture, you can get these of www.amazon.co.uk and also www.topshop.com I believe which is a new thing as they come from America and cost about $5 each. I fell in love with them in December 2008 when I brought one from New York and have been HOOKED since. Not only do they leave your lips so soft they also have all different smells! Heaven.

Yellow - Lemon
Pink - Strawberry
Green - Mint

Now let's talk Lipsticks, I'm going start with my newest and prettiest edition to my lipstick family...

1

Tom Ford - Sable Smoke £37.00

I love this not only because of the so 'in' nude colour, which is more on the brown side then peach but for its creamy moisturising texture.

I got this on Monday and I haven't taken it off, I've practically slept in it.

2

Revlon Colourburst Matte Balm - 230 complex £8.99

Now, I know it's very similar to the Tom Ford one above, but this is a more of a orangey nude, and also is not as high coverage. I like this for more of a laid back make up day or to accompany a smokey eye. Plus who can argue with the price!

Ps. It's not very matte!

3

MAC - Pink Plaid £15.50

Everyone needs a pretty pink n there pallet, this one is one of my matter lipsticks and I find if I don't apply lip balm before it can be quite drying. But with a colour that wearable who cares!

Looks lovely with a brown smokey eye and subtle pink cheeks.

4

MAC - Mocha £15.50

This is also one of my new buys, when I saw it it didn't really garb me until I put it on, it's such a great colour with a tan and is perfect for autumn. I find it looks great with any make up look. If you want something a little strong then a nude then this is your lipstick!

5

MAC - Flat out fabulous £15.50

This is just your average pink, it has deep purple tones that will suit all skin types and not being to bright easy to wear it day or night! The perfect lipstick if you want to wear a pink lip without feeling too girly.

6

No7 - Gay Geranium £9.95

This is easily No7's best kept secret, it's very similar to MAC's Morange but dare I say it... Better!
If you love a warm lip, or a bold bright lip go and get it! Boots sometimes give out £5 off vouchers for No7 too so keep your eyes peeled!

7

Illamasqua - Rockabilly £18.50

This is a much more cooler tone red then the NO7 one, and it's really moisturising. I was gifted this lipstick and when I looked at it I thought oh just another red, but no this one is different. I love this purply/pink tones in the shade.

8

Bourjois Rouge Edition - Velvet 01 £6.99

I have loads of reds, I have Chanel, YSL, Bobbi Brown and all the Mac's but I have to say this little Bourjois number is up there in the running. Now this isn't a warm tone red or a cool tone its just red. The kind of red every red lip lover needs. I think what makes me love this is the velvet texture on my lips, and it stays all day or night.

Another must have.

9

MAC - Film Noir £15.50

Not brave enough to wear black but want the dark lip look. Or is black to Gothic and cool tone for you? This little baby is perfect, it's warm chocolate colour is surprisingly flattering and is perfect for the autumn/winter season. I have to say it would even make it into my top 3!

10

MAC - Cyber £15.50

Yes, I know it's another MAC lipstick. I find MAC have the best variety and the price isn't bad either!
This is not for the faint hearted, it's dark very dark gorgeous plum/purple but I LOVE it. It's so sexy, I like to wear these dark colours with doe eyes. Clumpy mascara and a nice contour. A dark lip is such a good statement.

The only trouble is darker lips is you have to keep applying them, or just don't eat, drink, talk or move all day!

Well that's all, trust me I could go on and on and go through my whole collection but I won't. I need to save some you another rainy day!

I had the most exciting email yesterday, one that I have been waiting for, for over a month!

I will share with you as soon as I know whats what.

Keep your fingers crossed for me!

I'll keep you posted :)

An Afternoon Tea

There isn't much more that I love in life then afternoon tea, plus shopping in London and well yes of course my mother. My Monday was consisting of all 3. I had brought my mum afternoon tea in Harrods for christmas, yes I know what your thinking... that was almost a year ago! We are both busy bee's and this was the first date we could find that suited us both and it was worth the wait!

We were leaving pretty early so I got up and make up my face, I decided on a really dewy look with a subtle sparkle on my lids. I used my Favourite eyeshadow EVER so create this look. It's Chanel Illusion D'ombre shade New Moon. It's such a pretty pinky/brown colour that looks great with my colouring, but to be honest I can imagine it looking amazing on any colouring its just one of those shades!

I also went with my signature cat eye liner. I find this suits my almond shape eyes, if you have slightly rounder eyes, you can always use a bigger flick to elongate them. Just a little tip for you lucky round eyed girls!

Base - Estèe Lauder BB cream - Double wear all day glow
Blush - Benefit Bella Bamba
Bronzer - Mac - Matt sun powder
Eyeliner - Illamasqua Precision Liner
Brows - Bobbi brown bros pencil in Taupe
Lips - Chanel Rouge Allure number 131

Now, the weather wasn't really cold nor hot, so I decided to chuck on a knitted midi dress with a belt and gillet, added some ankle boots and my statement neon bag. Comfortable and Chic. Perfect!

I thought this look would be really unflattering because the length of the dress, but I think if you where this length with the right types of boots, just enough to show off your ankles and with bare legs, it's a winner!

Gillet - Topshop
Dress - Primark
Belt - Hermes
Boots - ASOS
Bag - Zara

Once we arrived at Victoria we headed to Harrods, I love the building it is so so pretty! We left the shops until after and headed straight the the Georgian Restaurant.

I ordered a Jasmin and Green pearl tea and the food soon followed. The selection of sandwiches and cakes were delicious.

Then it was time to hit the Harrods Christmas shop, it's definitely the best time of year for harrods, everything looks so amazing!

This display was my fav!!

I couldn't resist stopping by in the Beauty Palour, it's my haven. Even more so in a couple of weeks when all the christmas pack arrive in the store!

I finally got my hands on this Tom Ford Lipstick, I have been wanting this colour for ages and have never got round to getting it, so I am terribly excited to try this out!

It's so beautiful!

It's given me inspiration to do another get ready with me make up tutorial....

I'll keep you posted :)
