January Favourites

Monthly Favourites are a thing of 2015, I get pretty obsessed by products and passionate about clothes and accessories, so I shall share all my obsessions and passions with you at the end of each month... aren't you lucky?

Thing's I've been loving wearing...

Shirt - Gap
Jeans - Topshop
Bag - Chanel
Shoes - Matalan

Men's Shirts - They fit better then any 'boyfriend shirt' that I have ever brought, I've accumulated (stole) quite a collection and i'm in love with styling them with super skinny jeans and cute accessories for a feminine touch - adorable!

Leopard - Newlook
Snake - M&S

Print boots - they make the perfect statement, they are cool, classy and most importantly chic. Both these boots were a lot cheaper then they look. I'm in lust with both of them each days it's a struggle with which one to choose!

A lovely lady sent me this bracelet last week and since then I haven't taken it off, it goes with EVERYTHING. I love the thin cuff with the edgy skulls, the detailing is amazing. I love to wear it on it's own as a simple detail or stack it with lots of chains for a statement. Check out the rest of her stuff out, I love it all it's so different.

Weight - TKMAXX

I have been wanting to try these little guys out for a while, they always seem like the perfect idea for someone with colour damaged hair, I want to take as good a care of my hair I can and these bands help. Not only are they really pretty and come in tye-dye and glitter details too, they honestly are so soft and take good care of my hair. No breakage for me! If you work out they are also great as they aren't too tight but keep your hair up through anything crazy exercise.. trust me I've tried it!

The best thing's I've been putting on the face....

Maybelline Colour Drama Lip Colour - Nude Perfection

WOW, I am SO into this lip pencil and I am so please I picked it up! It's so velvety and soft on my lips and the colour is perfectly intense. Nothing more to say other then NEED EVERY COLOUR!

Urban Decay - Naked on the run

I would go as far as saying this is the best pallet I have ever owned, it has everything other then foundation and brushes, the matte eyeshadows double up as great brow shades and the blush and bronzer tones are so universal. I have carried this in my handbag every day since I bought it, the massive mirror it comes with is a bonus. If you looking to invest in the serious pallet porn, this one is for you!

Thing's I've been finding the yummiest...

Avocado - Guys I'm obsessed, I can't stop eating it I easily have half a day and the babies I eat aren't small either! I love it on my rye bread with poached eggs or added to a chicken and bacon salad. Dribble.

Infruition Water Bottle - http://www.infruition.co.uk

If your an avid follower of mine, you will no that I have practically had one of these stuck to my hand  for the last 2 weeks since the lovely Carmen sent me 4, yes 4 different colours and types to choose from. I love them all and I can't imagine going a day not sipping from one of these little juicy darlings. For more info on how much I love them check out my blog post from last Monday!

Juices - do I have to say anymore? You know I love them and my last 23456787654 blog posts I have given you my favourite concoction's go check them out! I may have finished sharing my recipes but me and juicing will continue forever.

VitaCoco - Yummmm, I have added this to every juice I have made this month and I have been feeling great for it, it is just delicious and so refreshing, if you haven't tried it yet, you must!

Things that have been making me really happy...

Notebook - TKMAXX

It's probably well known by now that I love pretty things, especially things that have an inperational quote on. I do love a good positive quote. I have been buying so many notebooks, I'll have them for years. This one is my favourite... the saying is so true. Kindness doesn't cost a thing you know!

Pretty Little Liars - Last but by no means least, if you don't want to be stuck to your computer screen in atisiaption every night then don't watch it. It's good, so so good. Plus some great hair/beauty/clothes inspo from 5 hot girls, I feel like they are my bests already! If you love thrillers and america teen dramas, get on Netflix NOW!

So thats what I've been loving this month! I hope you have been inspired to shop, make up, eat and watch!

I'll keep you posted :)

Just Jessica's January Juices: Pomegranate Punch

Check me out, I've started to go crazy in the fruit isle this week, instead of grabbing for the usual suspects (blueberries, raspberries or strawberries) I decided to go for Pomegranate for a change. Change is always good isn't it?

I'm so glad I did, it is so delicious I have continued to buy more. Obviously it being SO tasty I wondered how good it really was for me? I can tell you after looking into it Pomegranate seeds are really low in calories and rich in fibre  Hooray!  So I shall now contuine eating them, a lot. I decided to make this juice without Yogurt as it was more of a quick healthy snack rather then a meal. Enjoy guys's I think this one of my fav's!

Ingredients:

1 pint of Coconut water
1/2 Pomegranate
1 Handful of Blueberries
1 Lime
1/2 Pint of Orange

Add all these Ingredients into either a Nutribullet, blender or juicer and give it a whizz for about 10-20 seconds.

Before

After

Now enjoy your juice!

Idyllic right?

Now it's time for the top tip of the day given by my PT friend @kimmy_fitness - her Instagram and Twitter is SO helpful!

Top Tip of the day:

Do not skip meals!

When you skip meals you slow down your metabolism, making your body not burn calories how it should. Your body thinks that you are starving, so when you eat again your body stores away more than usual creating more body fat
!

I can't believe it's almost the end of January and I have almost come to the end of January Juices, I have loved and enjoyed sharing them with you SO much!

Time flies when your having fun!

I'll keep you posted :)

Just Jessica's Dupes: MAC's Something Special

Who doesn't love a little flush of blush? Especially this time of year, it nice to have a bit of colour on your cheeks to help brighten up pale and sun starved skin. I am a little partial to a healthy glow. Blushes, I have lots of them, powders, minerals, liquids and creams. I have to say cream blush is my favourite it really suits my skin and seems to leave a nice subtle shine without looking cakey like some powders can.

I think the word blusher scares some people as they automatically think of barbie pink cheeks, but when applied nice a subtly it can have a beautiful effect.

I have been on the look out for great dupes of all my favourite make up products, so when I was last in boots I had a little rummage through the blushes to see what cream blushes I could find. Bourjois seemed yo be the winner, I'm coming to love the brand and feel it's definitely one of my favourite high street brands.

I found the Bourjios Cream Blush in shade 03 - Rose Tender - when looking at the blush in the pot it looks a lot pinker and colder toned then it does on the skin. I really do love the colour when applied over foundation it has very tiny particles of shimmer too which makes it really pretty.

When I applied it to the back of my hand I was automatically reminded of MAC's Something Special, that and Ladyblush are my favourite of MAC's Creamblend Blush collection. Although Something Special doesnt have any shimmer to it, it is slightly more sticky giving it more of a shine effect on the cheeks, which is equally as pretty.

MAC - Something Special - Top
Bourjios - 03 Rose Tender - Bottom

MAC - Something Special - £18.00

Bourjois - 03 Rose Tender - £7.99

As you can see in the pictures, the MAC creamblush is slightly more intense then the Bourjios blush but I could of easily applied more to make it more intense but I thought I would so you the outcome when applied with the exact same amount.

I would definitely recommend buying Rose Tender if you wear blush everyday, it's pretty cheap and great quality. I found that after being out for the roughly 4-5 hours it needed a little retouch, but that's fine as it comes in a handy little pot with a mirror so you can keep it in your bag, where as the MAC cream blush doesn't.

I hope this was helpful, don't be scared of blush, it gives the skin a beautiful glow - it's my secret anyway!

I'll keep you posted :)

Make with me: Homemade Blueberry and Dark Chocolate Frozen Hearts

Sweet Cravings, aren't they the worst especially if your trying to be healthy! It's like you need something sweet and you need it now, what I have found really helpful is to always have something really healthy just waiting for me! Like a bite size blueberry and dark chocolate frozen love heart... YES! How idyllic does that sound? Now I know that chocolate mixed with lumpy bits of fruit doesn't look to appetising and that's why I decided to make them in the shape of hearts, food is always better when it looks cute right?

Now we all know blueberries are super foods and dark chocolate is so good for you when the % of pure cocoa is high and I'm taking 85% - yes a little bitter but mixed with the sweetness of blueberries its delicious and sweet without being naughty!

All Chocolate contains phenylethylamine which the same chemical your brain creates when you feel like you're falling in love. Ahhh! It encourages your brain to release endorphins, so eating dark chocolate will make you feel happier - get ready to fall in love with these little tasty bite sized dreams.

Ingredients

  • 200g of Blueberry's
  • 1 200g Bar of Dark Chocolate - chose 85% or more if you can
  • Clingflim
  • Heart cut outs - if not you can just do them in bite sized balls

Start by chopping you blueberries as finely as possible

Make sure you Chocolate is in a microwavable dish and melt it for 90 seconds, stopping and stirring half way through.

When it's melted add the blueberries.

Mixed them well so all the blueberries are coated.

Now using your heart cut out, place the cling film over it and push it down so it fills the heart shape.

Spoon in the mixture until the heart is full

Pull the cling film over the top covering all the surface and twist into a knot.

Now place them in your freezer for 30 minutes.

All you have to do it remove the clingfilm and tuck in!

How cute are they, and they taste amazing!!!

They really are the perfect snack if your having a sugar craving, just make sure you don't eat them all!

Other great options are frozen grapes and strawberries, all you have to do is put them in the freezer for an hour and they are a different alternative to eating them fresh!

Enjoy guys!

I'll keep you posted :)

All Hail Infruition

Water, I happen to love it. Yes I'm one of those odd balls when I go out for dinner I ask the waiter for a glass of Water instead of Coke or Wine or when I'm around someones house and they ask 'Do you want anything to drink?' and then go on to describes about 100 different varieties of juice, tea and coffee... I always reply I'd love a water. It's true I'm not just being polite I genuinely love it.

So when I came across this company it was kind of a no brainer!
I received each coloured bottle through the post - I'm very lucky I know, so I had plenty of choice. I was automatically draw to the yellow as it's my favourite colour. They also are made in Red, Green and Blue and come in a Sports bottle (great for on the go) which is slightly bigger with a sports cap and handle or glass which is nice and sleek and perfect for keeping in the fridge at home or at work.

Me being me I rushed to the fruit bowl to see what kind of weird and wonderful but pretty combinations I could make, the tastier the better!

Here are a few of my favorites fruity flavours:

Yellow Sports Bottle - Pear and Blueberries

Green Glass Bottle - Apple and Lime

Blue Sports Bottle - Pineapple and Mango

Red Glass Bottle - Lemon

I love my new Fashion Accessories!

I can honestly say I'm obsessed, the first thing I do when I go to work out is grab for my Infruition water bottle, and the last thing I do before bed is grab one from the fridge, I find them SO refreshing. I drink even more water then I did before and feel amazing for it. If you follow my instagram @justjessicablog you will know how much I have been using these little babies!

Even my boy who would rather drink ANYTHING and I mean anything but water is using his everyday. They really do work, they infuse the water perfectly, it's like drinking squash but without the tons of bad sugar intake.

If your a water lover like me and your looking to perk up your favourite drink or if your a water hater but want to ween yourself off all the sugary drinks Infruition Water Bottles are for you!

You can find them here:  http://www.infruition.co.uk/

I would recommend them to anyone, I can see mine lasting me for years they are such good quality, they are definitely helping me towards a much healthier lifestyle!

I'm off to go grab my kiwi and raspberry one from the fridge now... YUM
