Shoot number one and a Bill's dinner date

Ahhhh today was my first shoot day, and I didn't have to be in until 12, I wasn't sure if that was a good thing or bad thing as I just wanted to do my thing and get it over with. I was so excited I didn't even walk in to today, I took the bus so I had more time to prep. I had a minute spare to take  little bus stop selfie though... well I had to check my teeth for lipstick anyway so why not! The older gentleman next to me found it amusing, so I was happy to help. I decided on red lipstick to match my nails I painted yesterday.

As I knew I was going to be around ALOT of make up today, I decided to wear black, so if I get foundation, lipstick, blusher or god knows what else I normally manage to get here there and everywhere it wouldn't matter and I hadn't ruined anything. So I opted with this cute black casual T-shirt dress with bold pattern, so my nails and lips complimented it perfectly.

Dress - Missguided
Backpack - Newlook
Shoes - ASOS

I told you I haven't put the Backpack down, who'd have thought!

When I arrived at college I was a little early so I managed to get my station sorted in time for when my Model turned up. In strutted a 5'11 legging gorgeous blonde, with Bambi eye's and big beautiful lips. Ahh that's my girl. She was stunning which made doing her make up so much easier. Nice skin, Big features, every make up artists dream right?

For my first look I decided to keep the make up simple but with a ultra stand out ombre lip and doe eye's. I used a dark eyeliner to line the lips then added MAC's Russian Red to blend it out into the most gorgeous burgundy colour. I then layered lots of YSL shocking mascara onto the Models already very naturally long lashes.

I want whoever is looking at my portfolio to see from this look that I can do a clean cut lip to perfection and that I can also do a subtle barely there make up look, which is harder then it sounds.

Next up was the hair, and luckily we had a hair stylist on shoot to help out - I asked for a bed head, messy look to go with the dark lips and studded jacket I later added.

After the hair was finished, I did a final touch up grabbed my powder and brush and headed up to the Studio to shoot. It was such a great feeling watching my work come to life behind the camera. I actually really enjoyed styling the shoot too... that's something I'm going to look into too.

Check out those legs... they really do go on forever.

However this look will just be a head shot, so the jacket will be visible, but the main focus is on the hair and make up. I had a quick look through the shoots on the photographers camera and they look good but I don't actually get to see them in full until Thursday. So just like you, I'll have to wait.

After all that excitement I was starving so me and my friend from the course decided to go grab some dinner at Bill's. Yes, I'm addicted.

I went for the Bacon, Spinach and Avocado Salad and a Mint and Peach Ice Tea as always. You can't beat it.

I love Bill's so much I'm pretty much a regular even if it's just to grab one of their Ice Tea's. Last time I went in they gave me a Oyster Card holder. I love it, and it's bright pink so I can see it when I'm rooting through my bag - which we all do!

After the delicious meal we then went for a wander around the shops as my friend is getting a new Pug puppy soon and she wants to check out the outfits she can buy. She is obsessed.

After a while of debating what sweet treat to get we settled on Gelato - I choose Toffee and Caramel in a cup, It was heaven.

After all that eating I decided that the only way to burn it off would be to venture to Oxford Street to check out the Forever21 Flagship store. I'm sure it's the only one in London and I really like the stuff in there, it's cheap and very on trend. So I made my way from Shepherd's Bush via Baker Street to Oxford Circus.

I love shopping on my own, you can really get lost and have a wander for hours, even if you don't buy anything it's just nice to have a browse without worrying if you annoying anyone by walking around the store 100 times just in case you have missed the one item that WILL change your life.

Now I didn't actually manage to find that one item this time, but I'm still looking. Instead I bought a very cute camel coloured shirt dress for £9, very basic but will no doubt be a staple in my summer to autumn wardrobe transition period. A girl has to be prepared!

After I'd wandered around for the 100th time I decided it was home time, and here I am now writing up on my day. A day that I probably won't forget anytime soon, I feel rather proud I completed my first shoot, without sweating, crying or chucking a make up brush at myself in the mirror.

Tomorrow brings a whole new kind of world to me... male grooming. Yes male celebrity's need and like to be groomed and made over too...

I'll keep you posted :)
